Code of Conduct

Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment for every dancer, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or background.

Expected Behavior

Consent is Mandatory: Always ask for a dance and respect a “No.” You do not need to provide an excuse for turning down a dance, and your partner should respect that.

Safe Dancing: Be mindful of your “floor craft.” Avoid aerials, drops, or dangerous styling on a crowded social floor.

Physical Boundaries: Please be mindful of your partner’s physical space and comfort level. If a movement or “connection” feels uncomfortable for someone, adjust immediately.

Kindness First: We are a diverse community. Treat every dancer—regardless of their level, age, or background—with the same courtesy and respect you’d like to receive.

Respect for the Venue and the Hotel

Leave No Trace: Please use the trash bins provided. Let’s leave the ballroom and common areas as clean as we found them.

Protect the Floors: Please use dance-appropriate footwear to protect the floor.

Keep it Quiet in Hallways: Remember that other hotel guests (non-dancers) are sleeping. Please keep the “after-party” energy inside the ballroom or your private rooms.

No Property Damage: You are responsible for any damage caused to hotel property.

Zero Tolerance for Harassment

Any behavior that is physically or emotionally harmful, intimidating, or harassing will result in immediate removal from the event. Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

Unwelcome physical contact or “creepy” behavior.

Verbal abuse or discriminatory language.

Intentional intimidation or stalking.
